Job Description Bright Start Preschool is currently seeking qualified Teachers for the Georgia Pre-K Program for our school located in Valdosta, GA. Salary:

$21,000 - $31,000/year, Salary based on credentials and state contract

Pre-K Teachers will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a classroom environment that utilizes space, materials, routines, and guidance techniques to effectively facilitate physical, social/emotional, and intellectual development of children. Teachers will enrich the classroom with appropriate teacher-made materials and exhibits of child artwork. They will also maintain a clean, sanitary, attractive and well-organized classroom. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Planning, teaching and implementing the curriculum and providing quality care for our children 4 and 5 year olds Planning and executing indoor and outdoor experiences appropriate to the developmental levels of the children Interacting with children both physically and verbally throughout the day Assisting children with their personal hygiene and clean up of classroom Serve and eat meals with the children Meet with parents, staff, and administration Attend in-service and staff development training programs Familiarity with state licensing requirements and company policies Bright Start Preschool's staff take pride in their professional conduct. Job Requirements BS/BA in Early Childhood Education or Elementary Education required Minimum of 1 year experience in a classroom environment working with preschool children Must attend Georgia Bright From the Start training Flexible and energetic on the job Have the ability to juggle multiple duties Experience planning lessons and activities Ability to resolve conflicts between children Excellent communication and people skills Ability to work a schedule that follows the school system calendar Must pass a criminal background check
