The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. This role requires a commitment to early childhood education and the ability to engage with children in a meaningful way. The Preschool Teacher will work closely with parents and staff to ensure that each child's individual needs are met. Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning through play and exploration. Manage classroom activities, ensuring a safe and positive learning environment for all students. Observe and assess children's development, providing feedback to parents about their progress. Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their social skills and emotional growth. Implement behavior management strategies to support children's self-regulation and conflict resolution skills. Collaborate with colleagues to create an inclusive classroom that accommodates diverse learning needs. Maintain a clean, organized classroom space that is conducive to learning. Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood education. Skills Strong classroom management skills to maintain an orderly environment conducive to learning. Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices. Experience working with students in an educational or childcare setting is highly desirable. Previous babysitting or childcare experience is beneficial. Proficient in behavior management techniques tailored for young children. Familiarity with first aid procedures and emergency response protocols. Background in early childhood education or related fields is preferred. Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
