We seek a part-time 2-year-old and 3-year-old teacher who will bring their love of children and experience in childcare, daycare, or early childhood education to our preschool. This is a
PART-TIME
position with 13 hours per week in the morning. Bright Beginnings Preschool includes programming for two, three, four, and five-year-olds. We seek a teacher who helps the children, in their classroom, explore and grow through hands-on activities, faith-based values, and joyful play.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Plan and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum Manage classroom activities such as lessons, play, breaks, and snacks Encourage children to interact with each other to develop social skills Develop and maintain positive relationships with children and parents Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and guidance as needed Maintain a clean and tidy classroom while adhering to health/safety and sanitation procedures Collaborate with staff and church leadership in shaping the preschool's future Desired Skills (Qualifications): Must meet the requirements of the local childcare regulatory agency Knowledge of the social, emotional, and creative needs of young children Prefer an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or a related degree, or a degree in a non-child-related field with experience or a Child Development Associate Credential (CDA), or High school plus 3 years of experience. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to relate to young children, teachers, and families Openness to God and appreciation of the role of the church
