Full Job Description Join Our Team:

Childcare Provider Are you passionate about working with young children and creating a nurturing environment for their growth and development? We're seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Childcare Providers for our Sunday morning services and Wednesday night programming.

Position Details:

Schedule:

Every 3rd and 4th Wednesday - 5:30-8:00 p.m.; Sundays as needed, 9-12 p.m. (substitute position)

Age Group:

Children ages 0-4

Pay Rate:

$18/hr (2 hours guaranteed!)

Location:

First Unitarian Church of Des Moines, 1800

Bell Ave, Des Moines, IA Responsibilities:

Engage and supervise children in a safe and welcoming environment. Lead age-appropriate activities, including playtime, story time, and arts and crafts. Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere where children feel valued and supported. Ensure the well-being and safety of all children under your care. Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers regarding children's activities and any relevant updates.

Requirements:

Prior experience working with young children preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to create and maintain a safe and engaging environment. Patience, creativity, and a genuine love for working with children. CPR and First Aid certification a plus.
