Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that promote literacy, math skills, physical activity, and social-emotional growth. Create engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and developmental needs of children. Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement strategies and effective behavior management techniques. Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress, behavioral updates, and upcoming activities to foster strong home-school connections. Ensure safety by adhering to mandated reporting laws, maintaining child welfare standards, and implementing first aid and CPR protocols when necessary. Support early intervention efforts by identifying developmental delays and collaborating with specialists as needed. Maintain detailed records of student progress, assessments, and classroom activities to monitor growth and meet educational standards. Requirements Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings, including preschool or daycare environments. Knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, classroom management, and behavior management strategies. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, colleagues, and administrators. Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not already held. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety regulations. Experience teaching physical education or literacy education is a plus; familiarity with standardized testing is advantageous. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a lively and positive attitude.
