Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking energetic and adaptable Float Staff to join our dynamic early childhood education team! As a Float Staff member, you will play a vital role in maintaining a positive and nurturing environment across multiple classrooms and age groups. Your flexibility, enthusiasm, and commitment to child development will ensure that every child receives high-quality care and education. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to gain diverse classroom experience while supporting our dedicated staff and enriching the lives of young learners. Duties Provide seamless coverage across different classrooms, supporting lead teachers and assistant staff as needed Assist with daily activities such as circle time, arts and crafts, outdoor play, and snack time Support children's social-emotional development through positive behavior management and encouragement Ensure the safety and supervision of children at all times, adhering to child supervision policies Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's day, progress, and any concerns Follow all health and safety protocols, including first aid, CPR, and pediatric first aid procedures Assist with classroom setup, cleanup, and organization to maintain a welcoming learning environment Experience Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings is preferred Knowledge of childhood development principles and age-appropriate activities Experience with behavior management strategies and classroom management techniques Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare Childcare experience including nannying or babysitting is highly valued Strong communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration Certification in first aid, CPR, pediatric first aid, or early childhood education is a plus Join us in creating a joyful, safe, and enriching environment where children can thrive!
