The KIND Care (KC) Program is for school age kids who have completed Kindergarten through 6th grade. During the school year, it is a before and after school program with bus transportation to and from Mary Welsh Elementary. KC offers fun activities, educational experiences, and homework help. The program also provides care for early out days, no school days, and school delays and closings. Extended care is also available during the summer months when school is not in session. The summer program is designed to engage kids and get them to participate in themed activities, field trips, and special events. It is the perfect mix of fun and educational activities! Classroom:

Assist in providing, maintaining, and monitoring a safe, clean, orderly, inviting, and developmentally appropriate learning environment in the classroom and playground. Be focused on the children at all times, actively involved with the children during meals, snack, including eating meals with the children, and modeling good eating habits. Understand and use Positive Guidance/Behavior Techniques, while anticipating problems.

Assist with classroom operations ie:

be in ratio, maintainng hand washing, food preparation, cleaning of materials, etc. Responsible for the general supervision of the children. Be able and willing to represent the center in the most positive manner with prospective, former, and current children, clients, suppliers, and the community we serve. Communicate in a constructive and appropriate manner when talking with children, parents, or other staff, or professionals, respectfully making eye contact. Must possess strong human relation skills and be able to work as a team.

• Respect everyone's difference, valuing and nurturing people of all backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences, as well as support and promote an environment that accepts differences. Maintain the necessary training hours and attend extra training to meet Professional Development Plan as well as attend required training sessions, staff meetings, and other meetings as scheduled. Must be able to maintain confidentiality. Requires regular and consistent attendance at work.
