Overview Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Lead Two-Year-Old Teacher, where your passion for nurturing young minds will inspire curiosity, growth, and joy. In this dynamic role, you will lead a classroom dedicated to the development of toddlers, fostering a safe, engaging, fun, sensory and educational environment that promotes early childhood learning and social-emotional well-being. Your expertise in curriculum development, behavior management, and childhood development will empower children to reach their full potential during these formative years. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young lives while working in a supportive and collaborative setting. Responsibilities Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans tailored to two-year-olds, incorporating literacy education, physical activities, sensory, fun, engaging and early intervention strategies. Create a nurturing classroom environment that promotes toddler care, social skills, and emotional regulation through effective classroom management techniques. Utilize curriculum development skills to integrate Montessori principles and standardized testing insights into daily activities that stimulate cognitive and motor skills. Manage behavior with positive reinforcement strategies, ensuring each child's individual needs are met while maintaining a harmonious classroom atmosphere. Collaborate with families and support staff to monitor each child's progress in childhood development milestones and provide guidance on early education best practices. Conduct ongoing assessments of children's learning through observation and documentation to inform instruction and support individualized growth plans. Maintain compliance with childcare regulations, health and safety standards, and child welfare policies to ensure a secure learning environment. Flexible on-demand schedule. Experience Prior classroom experience working with children aged two years old in preschool or daycare settings is essential. Demonstrated expertise in early childhood education methodologies such as Montessori or similar approaches is highly desirable. Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, and implementing literacy education for toddlers is preferred. Knowledge of behavior management techniques tailored for early learners to foster positive social interactions. Background in special education or early intervention programs that support children with diverse learning needs is a plus. Strong communication skills for engaging effectively with children, parents, and team members. Familiarity with classroom management tools, standardized testing procedures, and documenting childhood development progress enhances your effectiveness as a lead teacher.
