Responsibilities Design and follow a full lesson plan using The Creative Curriculum Use a wide range of teaching methods (stories, media, indoor or outdoor games, drawing etc.) to enhance the child's abilities Track children's developmental milestones using the Ages and Stages Questionnaire Assess children's progress using Teaching Strategies Gold (now known as SmartTeach) Collaborate with colleagues Skills Proven experience as a child care provider/teacher Excellent knowledge of child development & current education methods Patience, flexibility and love for children Strong communication and time management skills

SUMMARY OF DUTIES

To be responsible for all aspects of caring for & educating young children. Being aware of all safety/health issues related to caring for young children Hours of operation are 7:30-5:30 Monday through Friday.

MUST HAVE

High School Diploma. Valid background check. Must be enrolled in Idaho STARS within 30 days from date of hire. Current pediatric first aid/CPR and Infant/Child CPR. Strong communication skills through written, verbal and digital means.

PREFERRED

CDA (Child Development Assoc. Degree). or education in related field. Experience &/or Empathy with persons living in poverty. Experience with Giraffe Laugh ELC & their values and mission. Experience with Quality Achievers in IdahoStars
