Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Director to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children of all ages as well as doing administrative tasks. You will also provide leadership in classroom management, curriculum development, and individualized instruction to support the diverse needs of children. This role involves fostering a positive learning environment, implementing early intervention strategies, and collaborating with families and staff to promote child development and learning. The Assistant Director will play a vital role in assisting the classroom with ratios, developing educational programs that cater to children with various needs, including those with disabilities or developmental delays, ensuring an inclusive and engaging classroom experience. Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and behavioral health strategies. Manage classrooms using effective behavior management techniques to create a safe and nurturing environment. Utilize specialized skills such as speech therapy, behavioral therapy, and working with children with autism or developmental disabilities to support individual learning goals. Adapt instructional methods for children with diverse needs, including those requiring special education services or IEP accommodations. Incorporate learning technology and standardized testing tools to assess student progress and inform instruction. Collaborate with specialists in deaf education, early intervention, and Montessori methods to enhance program offerings. Maintain detailed documentation of child progress, behavior reports, and communication logs for families and team members. Foster strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication skills and teamwork. Ensure compliance with child welfare standards, daycare regulations, and privacy policies related to childcare and preschool settings. Skills Extensive classroom management experience in early childhood education or preschool settings. Proven ability in curriculum development across various subjects including literacy education, math, physical education, and behavioral health. Experience in working with children with autism, disabilities, or developmental delays; experience with IEP planning is preferred. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early intervention strategies. Familiarity with learning technology tools and standardized testing procedures used in educational assessments. Excellent communication skills for engaging children, parents, and multidisciplinary teams effectively. Ability to adapt teaching methods for diverse learners using behavioral management techniques and behavioral health practices. Experience working in private schools or daycare environments is advantageous; Montessori or preschool experience is a plus. Pay:
