Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about children's progress, milestones, and any behavioral or developmental concerns. Maintain accurate records of student assessments, standardized testing results, and individualized education plans when applicable. Ensure classroom safety by following health protocols such as first aid and CPR procedures, adhering to mandated reporting laws, and maintaining a clean learning space. Collaborate with colleagues to plan activities that promote physical activity, social interaction, and cognitive growth in young children. Skills Extensive experience working with children in early childhood settings such as preschools or childcare centers. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and curriculum development techniques. Proficiency in classroom management strategies that foster positive behavior and effective learning environments. Ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with children, parents, and team members. Familiarity with special education needs, early intervention programs, and behavior management techniques. Experience teaching physical education activities and integrating movement into daily lessons. Knowledge of mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety regulations. Skilled in lesson planning for diverse learners including toddlers and preschoolers; experience with standardized testing is a plus. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional credentials in childhood education or preschool teaching are preferred.
