Job Description

Job description: Responsibilities Full time position. To create a flexible pre-school for all (PFA) program and developmentally appropriate class environment favorable to learning and personal growth of children. Facilitate children's development of communication abilities, attitudes, skills, and knowledge needed to provide a good foundation for future success in school. Establish good relationships with parents and with other staff Supervise Paraprofessional Qualification Must hold a current, registered Professional Educator License endorsed in Early Childhood Education or a PEL with ECE endorsement and one of the following endorsements: provisional educator, alternative provisional educator, resident teacher, or visiting international educator. A minimum of a baccalaureate degree in child development or early childhood education or the equivalent (i.e., baccalaureate in any discipline with a minimum of 24 semester hours of credit in child development; early childhood education or ECSE, including relevant field experience). Must hold a Gateways to Opportunity Level II or III Illinois Director Credential issued pursuant to Section 10-70 of the Department of Human Services Act [20 ILCS 1305/10-70]. Good written and oral communication skills. No felony conviction from Criminal Background Check. Clear record on Nurse's Aide Registry.
