Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Child Care Worker to provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for school-age children in our before and after school program. In this role, you will support children's developmental needs through attentive supervision, creative activity planning, and effective communication with parents and guardians. Your energy and enthusiasm will help foster a positive atmosphere where children feel valued, supported, and inspired to explore and learn. Responsibilities Supervise children during daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, and social skills for elementary school-age children Engage children in educational play that supports childhood development milestones and behavioral management strategies Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children's progress, behavior, and any concerns Follow mandated reporting laws by documenting incidents or concerns related to child safety or well-being Maintain a clean, organized environment that adheres to health and safety standards such as first aid protocols and CPR procedures Qualifications Experience working with school-age children is a plus but not required Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices helpful Valid certifications in first aid and CPR; ongoing training preferred Strong child supervision skills combined with effective behavior management techniques Ability to plan engaging activities tailored to different developmental stages Excellent communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare Join us in creating a positive impact on children's lives by providing compassionate care, stimulating activities, and a safe environment where every child can thrive!
