Schedule:

Flexible, as-needed; no guaranteed weekly hours Trinity Church is looking for caring, responsible childcare providers to join our approved childcare team. This is a flexible, as-needed position providing childcare during church events, small groups, classes, and other gatherings. There are no regularly scheduled or guaranteed hours. Approved childcare providers will be added to Trinity's childcare provider list, and church groups and ministry leaders will reach out as childcare needs arise. Providers may accept opportunities based on their availability. This can be a great opportunity for students, experienced babysitters, childcare professionals, or others looking for occasional, flexible work. Responsibilities Provide a safe, welcoming, and caring environment for children ages 18 months-10 years Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate play and activities Serve provided snacks as needed Work cooperatively with other childcare providers; in most cases, at least two providers will be scheduled Clean and straighten the childcare space following each event Follow Trinity Church's childcare and safety procedures Read and agree to follow Trinity's Childcare Policy and Children, Youth & Family (CYF) Handbook Qualifications Applicants must: Be at least 14 years old Have previous babysitting or childcare experience Be responsible, dependable, and comfortable caring for children of varying ages Be comfortable working in a church environment Be willing to follow Trinity's childcare and safety policies Experience working in a childcare center, preschool, school, camp, church, or similar setting is preferred but not required. CPR/First Aid certification is preferred but not required. References & Screening Applicants age 18 and older must: Successfully complete a background check Provide at least two references Applicants under age 18 must: Provide two letters of recommendation from a teacher, coach, or adult known to Trinity Church Applicants under age 16 must also obtain the employment certificate/work permit required by Illinois law before beginning work. Trinity will provide the necessary letter of intent to hire as part of that process. Schedule This is an as-needed position with no guaranteed number of hours. Childcare opportunities may include weekday mornings or evenings, weekends, and special events. Providers will be contacted when childcare is needed and may accept opportunities based on their availability. Work schedules for employees under age 16 will comply with applicable Illinois and federal child-labor restrictions. Compensation & Benefits $13
