Little Sages Learning Center is looking for motivated, caring persons to join our team as teachers. Classroom assignment is dependent on center needs and applicant skillset. The teacher is responsible for working as a team with their co-teacher to carry out developmentally appropriate educational experiences that meet the Illinois Early Learning Standards. The teacher is also to be a positive role model for children in the classroom; modeling supportive, inclusive and welcoming behavior to each of the children, families and staff.

Job Requirements:

The teacher must be qualified or be willing to become qualified in accordance with DCFS regulations for the State of Illinois.

Requirements are as follows:

60 credit hours from an accredited college or university with 6 credit hours in Early Childhood or Child Development, or CDA (online coursework available), or an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development or an Associate Degree in unrelated field with 6 credit hours in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, or at least 1,560 clock hours of child development in a nursery school, kindergarten, or licensed daycare center and 30 semester hours of credits from an accredited college or university with 6 semester hours in course related directly to child care and/or child development, from birth to age six. Awareness of Illinois Early Learning Standards and their applications. Self-Motivated and caring towards children. Ability to fulfill all DCFS requirements, including a physical and criminal background check. Able to lift children. Full and part-time shifts available, shift times vary. Competitive wages!
