Lead Infant Teacher Morton 1610 N Main St, Morton, IL 61550 $17.50 - $19.00 an hour - Full-time $17.50 - $19.00 an hour - Full-time Overview Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Lead Infant Teacher, where your passion for nurturing young children will inspire growth, curiosity, and development. In this dynamic role, you will lead classroom activities, develop engaging curricula tailored to infants' developmental stages, and foster a safe, stimulating environment that promotes early learning and emotional well-being. Your expertise will help lay the foundation for lifelong learning while ensuring each child's individual needs are met with compassion and professionalism. Must have atleast 30 college credit hours with 6 hours focused on Early Childhood Education or CDA. Responsibilities Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans focused on infant care, early intervention, literacy education, and social-emotional growth. Lead daily classroom activities that support childhood development milestones and encourage exploration through play-based learning. Manage classroom routines, behavior management strategies, and child welfare protocols to create a positive learning environment. Collaborate with families to communicate progress, address concerns, and support children's individual needs in accordance with mandated reporting laws. Incorporate curriculum development techniques aligned with Montessori principles and preschool teaching standards to enhance early childhood education. Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and interns, fostering teamwork and professional growth within the classroom setting. Maintain accurate documentation of lesson plans, child development progress, and compliance with state licensing requirements. Experience Proven teaching experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, or private school environments. Strong background in curriculum development, classroom management, and childhood development instruction. Experience working with children requiring special education or early intervention services is highly desirable. Knowledge of mandated reporting laws, behavior management techniques, and standardized testing procedures relevant to early childhood education.
