Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Older Toddler Twos Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will create a nurturing and engaging classroom environment tailored specifically for children aged two to three years old. Your primary mission is to foster their developmental growth through innovative curriculum development, individualized child care, and positive behavior management. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence young lives during their crucial early years while collaborating closely with families and fellow educators. All roles are paid positions, including internships, emphasizing our commitment to valuing every contributor. Responsibilities Develop and implement dynamic curriculum plans that promote literacy, math skills, physical activity, and social-emotional development tailored for toddlers. Provide attentive toddler care by ensuring safety, hygiene, and comfort in a warm classroom setting. Manage classroom routines effectively, including transitions, meal times, nap schedules, and activities that support childhood development milestones. Apply behavior management strategies to encourage positive interactions and emotional regulation among children. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding each child's progress, needs, and any concerns that arise. Maintain detailed documentation of child development progress, assessments, and adherence to mandated reporting laws. Collaborate with colleagues on lesson planning and classroom management techniques to create a cohesive learning environment. Skills Extensive experience working with young children in educational or childcare settings. Strong knowledge of child development principles specific to toddler age groups. Proficiency in curriculum development focused on early childhood education topics such as literacy, math, physical education, and social skills. Familiarity with special education needs and early intervention strategies for diverse learners. Excellent communication skills for parent engagement and team collaboration. Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively while fostering a positive learning atmosphere. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in childhood welfare or mandated reporting laws are preferred. Experience with standardized testing or assessments relevant to preschool-aged children is advantageous. Other Requirements Must meet DCFS teaching qualifications at minimum. Must be willing to work on ECE Credential Level 3. Pay:
$18.00 - $19.00 per hour
