Job Description

Blocks Child Care Center is looking for a responsible, energetic, and dependable high school student to join our team as a Child Care Center Assistant! This is a great opportunity for a high school student who enjoys working with young children and wants to gain hands-on experience in an early childhood education environment.
What You'll Help With:
Assist teachers with daily classroom activities and routines Help prepare and organize classroom materials and activities Engage with children through play, reading, music, art, sensory activities, and other age-appropriate activities Help keep classrooms, toys, and learning areas clean, organized, and ready for the children Assist with setting up and cleaning up after meals, activities, and special events Help teachers prepare supplies and materials for upcoming activities Support teachers during transitions, such as moving between activities or preparing for outdoor play Help with light classroom organization and tidying Assist with special events, projects, and daycare activities Be a positive, patient, and helpful presence around children and staff Follow all daycare safety, health, and confidentiality policies
What We're Looking For:
Currently enrolled in high school Dependable and punctual Responsible and willing to learn Patient, friendly, and comfortable around young children Able to follow directions and work as part of a team Positive attitude and professional behavior
Schedule:
Part-Time | After-School Hours 3:30pm-6:00pm Why Join Blocks?
