About Our Program Multicultural Community Center (MCC) provides high-quality early childhood education to children ages 3-5 through our Preschool for All program . Our program focuses on preparing children for kindergarten and beyond while supporting their social-emotional, language, literacy, cognitive, and early math development. MCC is currently at full enrollment with 4.8 starts in google reviews . We are well known for the safety and positive envirotment we provide to the staff, parents and children. We follow all Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) rules to protect our employees and children. Responsibilities Create a warm, safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment. Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities and learning experiences. Support children's social-emotional, language, literacy, cognitive, and early mathematical development. Implement The Creative Curriculum® and Illinois Early Learning and Development Standards. Observe, document, and assess children's development and progress. Support individual children's needs and promote positive behavior. Establish positive and respectful relationships with children and families. Communicate regularly with families regarding children's development and classroom experiences. Participate in parent conferences, family engagement activities, and program events. Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and other MCC staff. Maintain accurate classroom and child documentation. Participate in required screenings and follow all Preschool for All and Illinois State Board of Education requirements. Promote kindergarten readiness and help every child reach their full potential. Maintain a professional, positive, and dependable presence in the classroom. Qualifications Prior experience working with children in preschool or early childhood education settings is essential. The required Illinois Early Childhood teaching license/credential for a Preschool for All Teacher position. Ballelor Degree in Early Childhoold or related field Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively with families, teaching staff, and program administration. Commitment to creating an inclusive, respectful, and culturally responsive learning environment. Ability to meet all required background check, health, and other licensing/program requirements.

Pay:

$25.00 - $31.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
