Job Description
KinderCare is seeking Lead Teachers for our West Chicago learning center to guide engaging, developmentally appropriate classrooms for young children. In this role, you will design and implement curriculum, foster social, emotional, and academic growth, and ensure a safe, nurturing environment. You will observe and document children's progress, communicate regularly with families, and collaborate with a supportive, inclusive team. As a Lead Teacher, you'll model best practices, mentor assistant staff, and help shape a positive learning community with opportunities for professional growth. Responsibilities Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and daily activities. Lead classroom operations, ensuring a safe, nurturing environment. Observe and assess children's development and document progress. Build strong, professional relationships with families and conduct regular communication. Ensure compliance with state licensing and health and safety regulations. Guide and mentor assistant teachers and classroom staff. Maintain accurate attendance, incident, and progress records. Collaborate with center leadership on program improvements and events.
