Teacher / Director - Child Care Center K-Educate Daycare is a new child care center in Wheeling, IL, seeking an experienced, caring, and responsible Teacher/Director to join our team. This position is ideal for an early childhood professional who enjoys working directly with children while also taking on leadership and administrative responsibilities.

Responsibilities include:

Work directly with children in the classroom and provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development Supervise and support teachers and teacher assistants Help maintain compliance with DCFS licensing requirements and center policies Maintain required records and documentation Communicate professionally with parents and staff Assist with daily center operations, classroom schedules, and staff coordination Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment

Qualifications:

Experience working in a licensed child care center or preschool preferred Must meet Illinois DCFS qualifications for the position Director-qualified candidates are strongly preferred Knowledge of Illinois child care licensing standards is a plus Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills Reliable, professional, patient, and genuinely interested in working with young children Must be able to complete all required background checks and training

Position:

Full-time, approximately 40 hours per week

Pay:

$22-$28 per hour, depending on education, qualifications, and experience
