Eastern Greene Schools is seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Preschool Teacher in our Early Learning Center. This year round position focuses on preparing students for kindergarten by supporting their academic, social, emotional, and developmental growth in a structured and engaging environment. The Lead Teacher is responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate classroom that promotes school readiness skills, including early literacy, numeracy, and social development. This role includes leading classroom instruction, supporting assistant staff, and building strong partnerships with families to ensure a positive early learning experience. The ideal candidate is organized, energetic, and student-centered, with a strong commitment to early childhood education and collaboration.
Qualifications Required:
Must meet Indiana childcare licensing requirements for Lead Teachers Minimum of 18 years of age High school diploma or GED Current CPR, First Aid, and Safe Sleep certification (or ability to obtain upon hire) CDA (Child Development Associate) in Preschool (or ability to obtain upon hire) Completion of required background check and pre-employment drug screening
Preferred:
