Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Lead Toddler Teacher to inspire and nurture the youngest learners in our early childhood education program. As a Lead Toddler Teacher, you will also mentor assistant teachers, communicate effectively with parents, and ensure compliance with all safety and educational standards. Duties Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans focused on toddler care, literacy education, math skills, physical activity, and social-emotional growth. Lead daily classroom activities that promote curiosity, independence, and positive behavior management among toddlers. Foster a nurturing environment that supports childhood development principles and early intervention strategies. Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum enhancements and participate in ongoing professional development related to preschool teaching, special education, and classroom management. Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones through meetings and written updates. Ensure all classroom safety protocols are followed diligently, including first aid and CPR procedures. Maintain detailed records of child development progress, attendance, incident reports, and compliance with mandated reporting laws. Qualifications Proven experience working with children in a preschool or daycare setting, particularly with toddlers. Strong knowledge of early childhood education practices including curriculum development, behavior management, and classroom management techniques. Familiarity with childhood development stages, special education needs, early intervention methods, and literacy education strategies. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in childhood welfare or mandated reporting laws are a plus. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members. Demonstrated ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate math skills, physical education activities, and social-emotional learning. Experience mentoring or leading other teachers or classroom staff is preferred. Knowledge of preschool teaching standards and daycare regulations to ensure compliance at all times.
