In this role, you will create a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment for young children in our toddler classroom. Your primary goal is to foster early learning, social-emotional growth, and physical development through innovative lesson planning, hands-on activities, and positive guidance. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young learners while collaborating with families and fellow educators to promote a love of learning from the very start. Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that support early childhood development, literacy, math, and physical activity. Create a safe, welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration, independence, and social skills among toddlers. Manage daily classroom routines including diapering, feeding, nap times, and transitions with patience and consistency. Use effective behavior management strategies to guide children's social interactions and emotional regulation. Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns to foster strong partnerships. Maintain accurate documentation of children's developmental progress and classroom activities in compliance with licensing standards. Collaborate with colleagues on lesson planning, classroom management techniques, and implementing inclusive practices such as special education or early intervention strategies. Skills Extensive experience working with children in a preschool or daycare setting, especially with toddlers. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, early intervention techniques, and behavior management strategies. Proficiency in curriculum development focused on literacy education, math skills, physical education, and overall child welfare. Excellent communication skills for engaging effectively with children, parents, and team members. Ability to manage classroom routines efficiently while fostering a positive learning environment. Knowledge of mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare. First aid and CPR certification to ensure safety during emergencies.
