The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a strong understanding of childhood development. This role involves providing a safe, nurturing environment for children while fostering their growth and development through engaging activities and educational experiences. Must be 18 years old. High School Diploma or GED equivalent is mandatory. Responsibilities Supervise and ensure the safety of children in your care at all times. Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development. Provide care for infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children, including feeding, diapering, and personal hygiene. Assist with behavior management strategies to encourage positive interactions among children. Maintain a clean and organized environment conducive to learning and play. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise. Collaborate with other childcare staff to create a supportive team atmosphere. Document children's activities, milestones, and any incidents as required. Skills First aid certification is preferred to ensure the safety of all children. Previous experience in daycare settings or as a nanny/babysitter is recommended. Strong classroom management skills to maintain an engaging learning environment. Ability to work effectively with students of various ages and backgrounds. Knowledge of behavior management techniques to support children's emotional needs.
