Walnut Hill Early Child Center is a preschool and childcare for children 6 weeks old to 5 years old. At this time, we are looking for a kind, caring individual to be the lead teacher for our toddler classroom. This individual will provide a nurturing and safe environment for toddlers to develop and reach age appropriate milestones. This individual will demonstrate good judgement in the care and play with each child assigned to them. They will verbally and physically engage with the children throughout the day in addition to incorporating play activities and making daily lesson plans. They will also make sure that each child is fed at meal times and changed during diapering times and any other time when needed. The ideal candidate will be a nurturing, caring individual who enjoys teaching young children with the ability to lift up to 30 pounds. The ideal candidate must also have knowledge of child development and best practices for early childhood education. Lead teachers must have a CDA Credential or an Associates Degree or a Bachelors Degrees in early childhood education or elementary education.
