Childcare Assistant Description:
Seeking a Childcare Assistant beginning for Brickies From the Start at the Early Learning Center at George Earle.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma Experience with childcare settings Patient, nurturing, and calm under pressure Reliable and punctual, with the flexibility to work variable shifts Strong communication skills with children, parents, and other stakeholders
Responsibilities:
Provide attentive, hands-on supervision of children in a designated on-site space while parents attend workshops or cafes nearby Lead simple age-appropriate activities: reading, crafts, free play, movement games Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment; follow all health and safety protocols Greet children and parents warmly at drop-off and pick-up; communicate any concerns to parents directly Keep basic attendance and incident records Set up and pack away toys, activity materials, and the play space before/after each session
Terms of Employment:
Part time, as needed position, $15/hour
