Teacher Position Description for: Childcare Teacher Reports to:

Non-ExemptSUMMARY/OBJECTIVE
We are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Childcare Teacher to join our team and provide a nurturing and supportive environment for the children in our care. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young children, possess excellent communication and organizational skills, and be dedicated to creating a safe and stimulating learning environment.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Follow strict supervision guidelines. Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities to engage and educate children that meet the individual physical, cognitive and the social and emotional developmental needs of the children. Create a safe and welcoming environment for children to learn and play. Provide attentive and nurturing care to children, including feeding, changing, and comforting as needed. Collaborate with parents and other staff members to ensure the well-being and development of each child. Monitor and assess children's progress and communicate effectively with parents about their child's development. Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment. Follow all childcare policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of all children. • Ensure compliance with all licensing requirements and regulations. Maintain accurate record of children in care. Follow transition plan and record on appropriate form. Remain standing and moving while in the classroom and on the playground. Flexibility to undertake any additional duties assigned by the Executive Management Team, contributing to the overall success of the organization.JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Required Skills/Abilities:
Knowledge of early childhood development and best practices in childcare Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate effectively with others.Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent • Previous experience working with young children in a childcare or preschool setting.Job Types:
