In this role, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. You will lead a classroom of preschool-aged children, implementing engaging lesson plans that promote learning through play and exploration. Your expertise in early childhood education will be essential in guiding children through their formative years. Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that aligns with early childhood education standards. Create lesson plans that incorporate literacy education, math concepts, and physical education activities. Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages exploration and supports childhood development. Manage classroom behavior effectively, utilizing behavior management techniques to ensure a safe and respectful learning atmosphere. Provide individualized support for children with special needs or those requiring early intervention. Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress and development. Maintain accurate records of student progress, assessments, and standardized testing results. Collaborate with other educators to enhance the overall educational experience for students. Ensure compliance with all childcare regulations and standards. Skills Strong background in early childhood education with experience working in preschool settings. Proficient in curriculum development and lesson planning tailored to young learners. Knowledge of childhood development principles and effective classroom management strategies. Experience in behavior management techniques to support diverse learning needs. Excellent communication skills to engage with children, parents, and colleagues effectively. Familiarity with Montessori methods or other educational philosophies is a plus. Ability to provide care for toddlers while promoting their independence and self-confidence. Experience in tutoring or providing additional support in literacy and math is beneficial. Understanding of child welfare practices within daycare or private school environments.
