Job Description
Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated part time Daycare Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the social, emotional, and cognitive development of children from infancy through preschool age. The Daycare Teacher will be responsible for implementing age-appropriate activities, managing classroom dynamics, and ensuring the safety and well-being of all students. Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the developmental needs of children. Foster a positive learning environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and social interaction. Monitor and assess children's progress in various areas of development including cognitive, physical, and emotional growth. Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment, adhering to health and safety regulations. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's development and any concerns that may arise. Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive educational experience for all children. Provide care for infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children, ensuring their needs are met throughout the day. Utilize behavior management techniques to promote positive interactions among children. Support children with disabilities or special needs by adapting activities as necessary. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred; relevant experience will also be considered. Experience working with children in daycare settings or similar environments is essential. Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices. First aid certification is required; CPR certification is a plus. Experience with special education or working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable. Strong classroom management skills to maintain an organized learning environment. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues. Previous experience in caregiving roles such as nannying or babysitting is beneficial. A genuine passion for teaching and nurturing young minds.
