Job Description

Paladin seeks a Classroom Aide for our Head Start Bethany location. In this role, you'll support lead teachers with daily classroom activities, supervision, and care for preschool children. Responsibilities include preparing materials, assisting with lessons, reinforcing learning through play, maintaining a safe and clean environment, and helping with meals and transitions. You'll collaborate with teachers and families to support each child's social, emotional, and cognitive development. Responsibilities Assist lead teachers with daily classroom activities and routines Supervise children to ensure safety and positive behavior Support delivery of developmentally appropriate lessons and activities Prepare and organize classroom materials and learning centers Help with meals, rest periods, and transitions throughout the day Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming classroom environment Observe and report child progress or concerns to teaching staff Collaborate with teachers and families to support child development Follow Head Start and Paladin policies, health, and safety standards Participate in staff meetings and required training sessions Required Skills Classroom support Early childhood education practices Child supervision Behavior management Lesson preparation assistance Basic recordkeeping Communication with parents and staff Health and safety procedures Team collaboration Basic computer skills
