Job Description

Paladin seeks a Classroom Float for our Head Start program to support multiple early childhood classrooms. In this on-site role, you'll assist lead teachers with instruction, child supervision, and daily routines, helping maintain a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment. You'll adapt to different classrooms, support individualized learning, manage materials, and reinforce positive behavior. Responsibilities Provide classroom support across multiple Head Start rooms as needed Assist teachers with implementing age-appropriate activities and lessons Supervise children to ensure safety and well-being at all times Support positive behavior and social-emotional development Help set up, organize, and clean classroom materials and learning spaces Assist with mealtime, rest time, and personal care routines following program standards Document observations and support child progress tracking as directed Follow all Head Start, health, and safety policies and procedures Collaborate with teachers and staff to maintain consistent routines and expectations Participate in trainings and staff meetings to support ongoing learning and program quality Required Skills Classroom management support Child supervision Early childhood education practices Lesson implementation support Behavior management techniques Parent and family communication Recordkeeping and documentation Health and safety procedures Collaboration with teaching staff Basic computer skills
