Infant Teachers:
Starting Pay $12.00 / Hour Starting pay $14.00 for those who have an active CDA. We are looking for an experienced, dependable Infant Room Teacher to create a fun, safe environment for infants aged six weeks to 12 months. A teacher must have a great love and patience for children. The goal is to contribute to the healthy mental and emotional development of the child so they can more easily acclimate in the next level of education. Teacher Responsibilities Develop a careful and creative program suitable for children Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, media etc.) to teach children Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve occasional arguments Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities (identify shapes, numbers or colors, do crafts etc.) Organize nap and supervise children to ensure they are safe at all times Communicate with supervisors and directors regularly to understand the children's background and psyche Collaborate with other educators Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards Maintain a positive attitude Teacher Skills Excellent understanding of the principles of child development Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms Excellent communication and instructional skills Ability to act as mediator between children Cool-tempered, friendly and reliable Balance between a creative mind and a practical acumen CPR and First Aid Certification required. Must be obtained within 30 days of hiring. CDA (Preferred but not required) Must be willing to obtain.
NOTE:
MUST be able to pass a background check, drug test, & TB test. Teachers with a CDA have the eligibility to make more per hour . This is a full time position that requires working Monday-Friday 8 hour shifts One 15 min break and one 30 min lunch break daily. Training is provided for new employees
