Job Description
This opportunity offers flexible work schedules for individuals over the age of 18 seeking Part-time or full-time employment. The facility is open Monday thru Friday, 6:00a.m. - 5:30pm. Applicants will be required to take a criminal history check and drug screen. The position will be working with children in a licensed childcare setting. Teachers will be working with children between the ages of 6 weeks and 5 years based on the specific classroom. Classroom settings are catered towards children's learning and attending to children's needs within the childcare facility. Teachers will be provided a daily, weekly or specialized curriculum and will implement the curriculum within their designated classroom. Teachers will be expected to be able to help with pre-school level homework, complete crafts, and assist children in having positive social interactions. Countryside Child Care Center is a Level Three Paths to Quality facility and follows the Indiana Academic Foundations designed to work children's curriculum. Classroom teachers are responsible for ensuring children are within sight and sound at all times and model positive behavior. Teachers are to ensure that the classrooms are being represented in a respectable and friendly manner and that all children are in a positive environment allowing them to learn and grow. Teachers will be provided with proven educational based activities that will be implemented with the children. Teachers may be required to assist children during meals and snacks; this may include, but not limited to washing the tables in the classroom, ensuring that the children wash their hands before and after the meals, and correctly documenting children's behaviors. Sanitation is a top priority throughout the entire building during the day. Teachers are responsible and required to maintain their individual assigned classroom ensuring cleanliness throughout the day by picking up toys, wiping down and sanitizing toys, tables, chairs, and other classroom items. For the safety of the children, coworkers, and family members, teachers will be required to maintain all proper health and sanitation precautions while working with the children.
