Job Description

Daycare Teacher We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and experienced Daycare Teacher to join our childcare team. The ideal candidate is passionate about working with young children and committed to creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where every child can learn and grow. Responsibilities Create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities that support the individual developmental needs of infants and toddlers. Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment. Build positive and respectful relationships with children, families, and coworkers. Provide individualized care and support for children with special needs or specific developmental requirements. Use effective classroom management techniques to promote positive behavior and maintain a structured learning environment. Plan and supervise engaging activities, including arts and crafts, music, sensory play, educational activities, and outdoor play. Provide attentive supervision and ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times. Maintain accurate records of children's daily activities, developmental progress, health, and attendance. Maintain cleanliness and organization of classrooms, play areas, and childcare equipment. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding children's progress, needs, and daily experiences. Work collaboratively with other teachers and caregivers to provide consistent, high-quality care. Qualifications Degree or coursework in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field preferred. Previous experience working with children through daycare, childcare, babysitting, teaching, or caregiving. Knowledge of early childhood development, classroom management, and inclusive childcare practices. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to create a warm, patient, and supportive environment for young children. Ability to safely lift, bend, kneel, and move throughout the classroom as needed. Current CPR and First Aid certification preferred or required. Ability to successfully complete a background check and obtain any required childcare certifications.
