In this role, you will create engaging, developmentally appropriate lesson plans that foster growth in literacy, math, social-emotional skills, and physical development. You will be responsible for implementing curriculum development strategies, managing classroom activities, and building strong communication channels with parents to support each child's unique journey. Your enthusiasm and expertise will help lay the foundation for lifelong learning and curiosity in our preschool-aged students. Duties Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, focusing on areas such as literacy education, math, physical education, and social skills. Create a safe, inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and positive behavior management. Conduct child development instruction tailored to individual needs, including special education and early intervention strategies when necessary. Manage classroom activities efficiently to promote engagement and ensure smooth daily routines for toddlers and preschoolers. Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones through meetings and written updates. Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and incident reports in compliance with mandated reporting laws. Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum enhancements and participate in ongoing professional development related to childhood development and childcare best practices. Qualifications Proven experience working with children in a preschool or daycare setting, including classroom management and behavior management skills. Knowledge of childhood development principles, early intervention techniques, and special education accommodations. Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in childhood education or early childhood development are preferred. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety procedures. Experience teaching physical education or tutoring young children is advantageous. Demonstrated ability to plan lessons that incorporate literacy education, math concepts, and social-emotional learning strategies.
