Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Nursery Assistant to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will support the development and well-being of young children in a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment. Your enthusiasm for child growth, combined with your ability to foster positive experiences, will help create a warm space where children can learn, play, and thrive. Duties Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development Supervise children during playtime, meals, nap times, and outdoor activities to ensure safety and engagement Support children with daily routines such as diapering, feeding, and personal hygiene in accordance with health and safety standards Communicate effectively with parents about their child's progress, needs, and daily experiences Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages learning and creativity Follow all health and safety protocols including first aid procedures and mandated reporting laws for child protection Support classroom management strategies to foster positive behavior and social skills among children Requirements Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare centers, preschools, babysitting or nannying roles is highly desirable Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices Certification in pediatric first aid and CPR is preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not already held Familiarity with special education needs or experience working with children with disabilities is a plus Strong communication skills for parent interactions and team collaboration Ability to manage classroom activities effectively while ensuring child supervision at all times Understanding of mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety Passion for nurturing young children's growth and creating a positive learning environment Join us in shaping the early experiences of children by providing compassionate care and educational support.
