Facility Cape Fear Valley Medical Center Location Fayetteville, North Carolina Department Child Care Services Job Family Professional Work Shift Days (United States of America) Summary Assists teacher in providing the developmental and care needs of children while helping to maintain a quality program at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center Child Development Center. Helps to maintain a clean and safe environment. Major Job Functions The following is a summary of the major essential functions of this job. The incumbent may perform other duties, both major and minor, that are not mentioned below. In addition, specific functions may change from time to time: Uses curriculum items and methodology developed by the teacher with individuals and groups Discusses the program and its relation to each child's needs with the lead teacher Assists teacher with curriculum planning and gathering of materials needed to implement daily learning activities Follows teacher's lead during class time Accurately follows established center procedures and routines (diaper changing, emergency procedures, schedules, etc.) without immediate supervision Interacts positively with children and provides and appropriate role model Participates in parent involvement program including writing for the center's newsletter, regularly scheduled parent-teacher conferences, and parent meetings Maintains a clean, safe and health learning environment Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications The following qualifications, or equivalents, are the minimum requirements necessary to perform the essential functions of this job:
