Responsibilities Support lead teachers in planning and executing age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development. Supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play, meals, naps, and transitions to ensure safety at all times. Assist with classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and implementing behavior management strategies. Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment that meets health and safety standards. Communicate effectively with parents about their child's progress, needs, and daily experiences to foster strong partnerships. Follow mandated reporting laws by recognizing signs of neglect or abuse and reporting concerns appropriately. Administer basic first aid and pediatric first aid when necessary to ensure children's safety and well-being. Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing individualized care under supervision. Collaborate with team members to ensure consistent caregiving practices aligned with early childhood education principles. Experience Prior experience working with children in daycare centers, preschools, babysitting, nannying, or similar settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of childhood development instruction and classroom management techniques is essential. Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a valuable asset. Familiarity with infant care, toddler care, and preschool curriculum development enhances your effectiveness in this role. Certification in first aid and CPR (Childhood First Aid) is required or willing to obtain upon hire. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with parents, children, and team members is vital.
