St. Lukes Early Learning Center is seeking a qualified candidate for a lead teacher position. The lead teacher ensures that all students are supervised in a safe, nurturing, Christian environment. The Lead Teacher is responsible for planning and implementing daily lessons in personal hygiene, Bible Time, music, art, math, science, and literature that is developmentally appropriate for children from 1-3 years of age and enhances their spiritual, social-emotional, physical, and intellectual development. Meets the staff requirements for a Lead Teacher of

K.A.R. 28-4-429

(b) and

K.A.R. 28-4-440

(n) At least 1 year teaching experience Spiritual maturity, deeply committed to Christ, His Church and Christian education Be subject to Saint Luke's Lutheran Church's spiritual discipline and government Be able to relate well to both children and adults in a Christian manner Must be at least 18 years old and meet the requirements of KDHE to include in-service programs Preference will be given to employees that meet the following requirements: Associates Degree in Early Childhood Hold a Bachelor's Degree in elementary education or early childhood education Has a Child Development Associate Credential Maintain a valid teaching license Member of Saint Luke's Lutheran Church Specific Duties and Responsibilities include safety and well-being, instructional and spiritual components.
