Job Description

Toddler Lead Teacher Do you love the busy, curious, and sometimes wonderfully chaotic toddler years? Country Kids Day Care is looking for a dependable, energetic Toddler Lead Teacher to lead a classroom of children ages 12-36 months. This is a hands-on teaching position for an experienced early childhood educator who understands that toddlers learn through exploration, play, routines, relationships, and lots of repetition. You'll lead the classroom while working closely with an Assistant Teacher to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children can learn and grow. What You'll Do Lead a toddler classroom and provide a safe, caring, and engaging environment Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities Encourage learning through play, sensory experiences, songs, stories, conversations, and exploration Maintain consistent classroom routines for meals, naps, activities, and transitions Support children's language, social-emotional, physical, and cognitive development Help toddlers develop early social and self-help skills Provide hands-on care, including diapering, potty training, feeding, and dressing Observe and document children's developmental progress Build positive relationships and communicate regularly with families Use positive guidance and redirection to help children navigate challenging behaviors Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom Work with and provide guidance to the classroom Assistant Teacher Follow all center policies, health and safety procedures, and childcare licensing requirements You'll Be a Great Fit If You Are Patient, caring, and genuinely enjoy working with toddlers Dependable and punctual Energetic and comfortable staying active throughout the day Confident managing classroom routines and transitions Able to provide positive guidance during challenging toddler behaviors Organized and able to balance teaching with the daily routines of a busy classroom A strong communicator with children, families, and coworkers Comfortable leading and supporting another teacher Interested in continuing to learn and grow as an early childhood educator Qualifications CDA credential or higher preferred At least 1 year of experience working with toddlers in a licensed childcare setting Pediatric First Aid and CPR certification Ability to complete required background checks and health requirements This is an active position that includes frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, floor play, and lifting and carrying children. Pay:
