Spend your day with kids who think you hung the moon. Wild Oak Academy is a locally owned early childhood center serving children from 6 weeks to 6 years across two Kansas locations. We're hiring an Assistant Teacher to work alongside one of our lead teachers and help run a classroom where kids learn through play, routine, and a whole lot of curiosity. You don't need a degree or years of experience to be great at this. You need patience, reliability, and the kind of energy that makes a three-year-old want to show you the bug they found. We'll teach you the rest. What your day looks like Partnering with the lead teacher to run activities, lessons, and the daily flow of the classroom Getting down on the floor and actually playing — building, reading, singing, making messes (and cleaning them up) Helping kids through the big moments of a small day: meals, nap, potty breaks, outside time, and the transitions in between Keeping the room safe, clean, and set up for learning Giving extra attention to the child who needs it that day Building real relationships with families so they trust their kid is in good hands What we're hoping you bring A genuine love for being around young children (this is the non-negotiable) Dependability — your classroom counts on you showing up A team-player attitude and steady patience High school diploma or equivalent The ability to pass a background check and meet Kansas licensing requirements Childcare experience, CPR/First Aid, or a background in early childhood are all welcome — but if you've got the heart for it and not the resume yet, apply anyway.
