Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and experienced Lead Preschool, Infant, and Toddler Teacher to inspire young learners and foster a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment. As a leader in early childhood education, you will oversee daily classroom activities, implement curriculum plans, and support the growth of children from infancy through preschool age. Your role is vital in promoting social-emotional development, early literacy, motor skills, and foundational knowledge while ensuring a safe and inclusive space for all children. Duties Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans tailored to the developmental stages of infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, incorporating best practices in early childhood education. Lead classroom activities that promote cognitive, social-emotional, physical, and language development through engaging lessons and hands-on experiences. Manage daily classroom routines including diapering, feeding, nap times, and transition activities with patience and professionalism. Foster positive behavior management strategies to encourage cooperation, independence, and respectful interactions among children. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding each child's progress, milestones, and any concerns to ensure a collaborative approach to child welfare. Supervise assistant teachers and support staff by providing mentorship, guidance on classroom management techniques, and ongoing professional development opportunities. Ensure compliance with all mandated reporting laws and health & safety regulations to maintain a secure environment for children and staff. Requirements Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings such as daycare centers or preschools; prior classroom experience is essential. Strong knowledge of child development principles, curriculum development, behavior management strategies, and classroom management techniques. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in special education or early intervention are a plus. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, staff, and community partners. Familiarity with childhood education standards including literacy education, math concepts for young learners, standardized testing (if applicable), and physical education activities. Demonstrated ability to plan lessons that incorporate literacy skills, math fundamentals, physical activity, and social-emotional learning. Knowledge of mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and experience implementing inclusive practices for children with special needs or developmental delays. Ability to lead by example in fostering a positive classroom environment that promotes curiosity, respect for diversity, and lifelong learning.
