Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that foster cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development for infants and toddlers. Create a safe, clean, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and independence. Engage children in activities that promote literacy education, early intervention strategies, and foundational skills in math and physical education. Manage daily routines including diapering, feeding, nap times, and transitions with patience and sensitivity. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians to share progress updates, discuss developmental milestones, and address any concerns related to child welfare or behavior management. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate documentation of each child's growth and activities. Collaborate with colleagues on lesson planning, classroom management techniques, and implementing specialized programs such as Montessori or preschool curricula. Experience Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and classroom management strategies. Experience developing curriculum content that includes literacy education, math concepts, physical education, and special education accommodations. Familiarity with early intervention practices and standardized testing methods for young children. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional credentials in early childhood education or Montessori training are a plus. Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, staff, and community partners. Proven ability to manage a classroom environment that supports inclusive practices for children with diverse needs.
