Job Description

Early Learning Childcare of Frankfort is seeking a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Early Learning Childcare Teacher to join our team. In this role, you will provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment where young children can grow, learn, and develop essential social, emotional, cognitive, and physical skills. The ideal candidate is passionate about working with young children, works well as part of a team, and understands the importance of creating positive relationships with children and their families. Duties and Responsibilities Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities and lesson plans based on the children's individual needs, interests, and developmental levels. Follow the center's curriculum and daily classroom schedule while providing engaging learning experiences. Support children's development in areas including language and literacy, mathematics, physical development, social-emotional development, creativity, and independence. Create and maintain a positive, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment. Use appropriate classroom and behavior-management strategies to guide children's behavior and encourage positive interactions. Maintain accurate classroom records, including attendance, daily reports, developmental observations, assessments, and other required documentation. Communicate regularly and professionally with parents and guardians regarding their child's daily experiences, development, accomplishments, and concerns. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment. Follow all health and safety procedures, including proper handwashing, sanitation, supervision, and emergency procedures. Follow center policies, Kentucky childcare regulations, and mandated reporting requirements. Respond appropriately to children's individual needs, including developmental differences and special needs. Work collaboratively with classroom staff and center administration to provide consistent care and support for children. Participate in staff meetings, training opportunities, professional development, and center activities. Maintain required certifications and training, including First Aid and CPR. Assist with daily classroom responsibilities, including meals, diapering/toileting, nap time, transitions, and maintaining classroom materials and supplies. Build positive relationships with children and families while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality. Qualifications and Requirements Previous experience working with children in a childcare center, preschool, daycare, or similar setting preferred. Knowledge of early childhood development and age-appropriate teaching practices. Ability to create and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate activities. Strong classroom-management and behavior-guidance skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively with children, families, coworkers, and administration. Ability to work with infants, toddlers, and/or preschool-aged children using appropriate teaching and caregiving techniques. Ability to follow all childcare licensing requirements, health and safety procedures, and center policies. First Aid and CPR certification required or must be obtained within the required timeframe. Must successfully complete all required background checks and employment requirements. Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development and required childcare training. Reliable attendance, punctuality, and a positive attitude are essential. Pay:
