Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated 2's Toddler Lead Teacher to inspire and nurture young learners during their critical early childhood years. As a key member of our educational team, you will create a warm, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment that promotes curiosity, social-emotional growth, and foundational skills. Your enthusiasm and expertise will help shape positive learning experiences for toddlers, fostering their love for discovery and learning. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's lives while working in a vibrant, supportive setting. Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that incorporate early childhood education principles, including literacy, math, physical activity, and social skills. Create a safe, nurturing classroom environment that encourages exploration and independence among 2-year-olds. Manage daily classroom routines, including diapering, feeding, circle time, and outdoor play, ensuring consistency and structure. Employ effective behavior management strategies to promote positive interactions and resolve conflicts constructively. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns through meetings or written updates. Collaborate with colleagues to plan special activities, assessments, and developmental observations aligned with state standards and best practices. Maintain accurate documentation of children's development using standardized testing tools and progress reports in compliance with mandated reporting laws. Requirements Proven experience working with young children in a classroom or childcare setting, preferably with toddlers aged 1 to 3 years old. Strong knowledge of child development principles, early intervention strategies, and childhood education best practices. Familiarity with curriculum development tailored to toddler care that includes literacy education, physical education, and Montessori or similar methodologies. Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively while fostering a positive learning atmosphere. Excellent communication skills to engage with children, parents, staff, and community partners professionally and empathetically. Certification in first aid and CPR required; additional certifications in special education or childhood development are a plus. Knowledge of mandated reporting laws related to child welfare is essential. Demonstrated ability to plan lessons that incorporate standardized testing outcomes and promote holistic child growth. Child Development Associate (CDA) Degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent. Join us in creating an enriching environment where toddlers can thrive! Pay:
$9.50 - $14.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
