This leadership role involves supervising staff, ensuring compliance with safety and educational standards, and fostering a nurturing environment for children. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of early childhood development, classroom management, and parent communication, with a passion for supporting young children's growth and well-being. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's lives while leading a team committed to excellence in childcare. Responsibilities Assist in managing daily center operations, ensuring adherence to licensing regulations and safety protocols Supervise and support teaching staff, providing guidance on classroom management and child development instruction Coordinate curriculum planning that promotes early childhood education and developmental milestones Oversee child supervision to ensure safety and engagement during activities and transitions Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and developmental needs Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate documentation of incidents or concerns Support staff training on topics such as first aid, pediatric first aid, CPR, behavior management, and special education strategies Assist in recruiting, onboarding, and evaluating staff members to maintain a high-quality team Foster an inclusive environment that supports children with disabilities or special needs through appropriate accommodations Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment conducive to learning and development Skills Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, early childhood education, and classroom management techniques Experience working with children of various ages, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and children with special needs Certification in first aid, CPR (including pediatric first aid), and mandated reporting laws Excellent communication skills for parent engagement and staff collaboration Ability to supervise children effectively while demonstrating patience and nurturing care Experience working in daycare centers or similar childcare settings; nannying or babysitting experience is advantageous Familiarity with behavior management strategies and classroom instruction methods for young children Ability to lead a team with professionalism, organization, and enthusiasm for early childhood education Knowledge of special education practices and working with individuals with disabilities is preferred This role is vital in creating a safe, educational, and caring environment where children can thrive.
