We serve children from six weeks through five years old and are looking for someone who enjoys helping young children learn, grow and feel safe. Responsibilities Provide attentive supervision and maintain a safe classroom Follow all Kentucky childcare licensing regulations Maintain required staff-to-child ratios Complete name-to-face attendance checks during every transition Prepare and teach age-appropriate daily activities Follow our Funny Daffer curriculum and classroom schedule Assist with meals, diapering, toileting, rest time and outdoor play Keep the classroom clean, organized and licensing-ready Complete daily documentation through Brightwheel Communicate professionally with families, coworkers and management Participate in staff meetings, professional development and required training Actively engage with children throughout the day Follow our no-cell-phone policy while supervising children Qualifications Must be at least 18 years old High school diploma or GED required Childcare experience preferred Must pass all required background checks Must provide a current TB screening and required health documentation Must complete orientation, Pediatric Abusive Head Trauma training and other required training Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR certification preferred Must complete 15 hours of professional development annually Must begin the CDA credential process within 90 days of employment if not already credentialed Must be dependable, professional and able to work well with a team Must be able to lift children, sit on the floor and remain active throughout the day Schedule Full-time position Monday through Friday Scheduled shifts will fall within our operating hours of 7:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. Reliable and consistent attendance is required Benefits AFLAC benefits, including medical, dental and vision options 401(k) eligibility after one year of employment Paid holidays and vacation eligibility based on company policy Childcare assistance may be available for eligible employees through CCAP Professional development opportunities Support with earning a CDA credential Dress Code Employees must wear matching solid-color scrubs or an Active Imaginations T-shirt with solid scrub pants.
