In this rewarding role, you'll create a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment for children at various developmental stages. This substitute position guarantees a minimum of 8 hours per week and requires readiness to work in classrooms ranging from infants through preschoolers. Your enthusiasm and dedication will inspire curiosity, foster learning, and promote social-emotional growth in a caring setting. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in children's lives while developing your skills in childhood development and classroom management. Duties Provide substitute coverage in infant, toddler, and preschool classrooms, adapting to each classroom's routines and children's needs. Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development for children in preschool, toddler care, or infant care. Ensure the safety and well-being of all children by adhering to health and safety guidelines, including first aid procedures when necessary. Foster positive behavior management strategies to encourage good conduct and social skills among children. Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that supports learning and creativity. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about children's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones. Collaborate with colleagues to develop individualized care plans and educational strategies that meet each child's unique needs. Requirements Willingness and readiness to work with children across all age groups, from infants through preschoolers. Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or similar settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; we are willing to assist with this training, if necessary. Strong classroom management skills to create a structured yet flexible environment conducive to learning. Ability to engage children through nurturing caregiving techniques and positive reinforcement. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with parents, guardians, and team members.
