Job Description
•we are currently located at Liberty Baptist Church in Calhoun until our new building is ready!
• We are looking for a new teacher to join our team! The ideal candidate has a lot of patience and love. They will have experience working with children, especially infants all the way to 4-year-olds. They are willing to work as a team with their co-teacher to create a warm and inviting learning environment.
Our ideal candidate is:
able to work Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday 7AM- 3PM. 18 or older CPR certified or willing to get CPR certified (paid for by our center) Has experience working in childcare centers Understands the correct way to pick up children (under the arms) Can change diapers thoroughly and in a time-efficient manner Detail-oriented Eligible by the state of Louisiana to work with children Loves interacting with children Can plan fun activities last minute when needed to keep kids entertained Willing to keep cellphone put away while working with children Able to follow classroom schedules Nice to co-workers and co-teacher Physically able and willing to stand for hours at a time Physically able and willing to pick up children Cares about the children's emotional needs and feelings Cares about the safety of the children and is willing to enforce classroom rules to keep them safe Can write and read well (MUST be able to document everything) Can effectively communicate with children, coworkers, and parents in a respectful manner Does not frequently call in or request off Punctual Can follow dress code Physically able and willing to clean classroom at end of shift Cleaning includes: wiping down tables, sweeping floors, mopping floors, vacuuming rugs, making sure all toys are put away, spraying toys with bleach water, and doing daily assigned chore. Pay starts at $9. Please bring copies of all formal trainings with you to interview.
This includes:
CDA, CPR, health and safety, medication administration, continuing eduction courses through CCNELA, key modules, mandated reporter, etc. Pay could possibly start higher with these trainings.

We are open from 7 AM until 6 PM. Interview priority is given to those who can get here at 7:00 AM each morning OR stay until 6:00 PM each day!
